Though it is the largest winery on Long Island, Pindar Vineyards holds close to its roots as a family enterprise -- and that includes being a positive force in the community. We have cultivated long-term relationships with charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the East End Hospice, bringing us new friends and partners in giving. Annual fund-raisers held at Pindar Vineyards allow us the privilege of making a difference in our community, and provide an opportunity for us and our friends to help our neighbors in need.

Our annual traditions include:

East End Hospice Annual Pig Roast/BBQ

The kickoff event of the summer season! Each June East End Hospice’s Annual Pig Roast attracts a crowd of happy guests, and the numbers grow every year. This family-friendly event raises funds for hospice services on the North and South Forks. Save the date: Saturday, June 6th, 2009. Reservations at www.eeh.org

Sunflowers for Wishes

Pindar Vineyards is not only famous for wine: our huge sunflower field would make Van Gogh smile. Every July when the sunflowers are in their full glory we open the field so guests can pick their favorite flower, or take home a custom bouquet. "Sunflowers for Wishes" donations are collected through the sales of these flowers and raffles of custom Pindar Vineyards gift baskets and wine. Volunteers make this weekend possible. Sunflowers, Chardonnay & "Sand-Wishes"

Enjoy lunch, live music, and Pindar Sunflower Chardonnay on our outdoor pavilion overlooking the vines and sunflowers. Proceeds from the event benefit Make-A-Wish of Suffolk County. John Theissen Children's Foundation Annual Toy Drive

Pindar Vineyards accepts new, unwrapped toys in our tasting room during the month of December for the John Theissen Children’s Foundation, which benefits sick and needy children throughout Long Island.
