Though it is the largest winery on Long Island, Pindar Vineyards holds close to its roots as a family enterprise -- and that includes being a positive force in the community. We have cultivated long-term relationships with charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the East End Hospice, bringing us new friends and partners in giving. Annual fund-raisers held at Pindar Vineyards allow us the privilege of making a difference in our community, and provide an opportunity for us and our friends to help our neighbors in need.

Donation Requests

Pindar Vineyards supports our community. Each year, we make significant donations to charities such as Make-A-Wish and East End Hospice. While we would like to help everyone who approaches us for a donation, we simply cannot.

As of 2019, we have a new policy in place to help as many non-profit organizations as possible by offering a 30% discount on all purchases for a fundraiser. This includes wine, gift baskets and gift items. (Discount will be applied to those with an official tax exempt form and letter of intent.) We hope that this will create more success for everyone in their efforts. All transactions are required to take place in-store at our Peconic or Port Jefferson locations. Our annual traditions include:

East End Hospice Annual Pig Roast/BBQ
The kickoff event of the summer season! Each June East End Hospice’s Annual Pig Roast attracts a crowd of happy guests, and the numbers grow every year. This family-friendly event raises funds for hospice services on the North and South Forks.  Reservations at www.eeh.org.

Sunflowers for Wishes
Pindar Vineyards is not only famous for wine: our huge sunflower field would make Van Gogh smile. Every July when the sunflowers are in their full glory we open the field so guests can pick their favorite flower, or take home a custom bouquet. "Sunflowers for Wishes" donations are collected through the sales of these flowers and proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

FDNY 343 Ride
Pindar Vineyards is the finish line for the FDNY 343 Ride, an annual bicycle trip to honor and remember the 343 members of the FDNY who perished in the World Trade Center on Sept 11, 2001. We will never forget.

Members of the FDNY will participate in the annual FDNY343Ride memorial bicycle ride and pedal from The Freedom Tower in Lower Manhattan to Peconic, NY. Donated proceeds from the ride go directly to help support severely injured veterans who have served in the Armed Forces. Their lives have been permanently altered protecting our great nation and the freedom we so enjoy. We are committed to help and support these brave men and women in their time of need as they return home. The money raised is used to pay for all terrain wheel chairs (Track Chairs), service dogs, medical bills, housing, and numerous other expenses that surface. The Suffolk County Volunteer Firefighters Burn Center of University Hospital: The surgical and medical staff provide the most sophisticated care to both adults and children with major burns. The Burn Center is designed an equipped to meet the special needs of burn patients, and is certified by the American Burn Association. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 352, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779.
